X-Gard™ 1.0

WHY

X-Gard™ 1.0

STRENGTH

Before X-Gard, large composite roof panels (think 30", 40", or 42" wide) lacked a proper snow retention solution. Now, X-Gard is the go-to system in Canada, offering superior snow retention and making it the top choice for engineers tackling industrial roof projects.

RELIABILTY

The innovative design of X-Gard tackles even the heaviest snowfalls. This system utilizes a clamp with a bracket or cross member assembly, allowing for a secure and adaptable installation. This versatility makes X-Gard a reliable snow retention solution for a wide range of situations, including regions with high snow loads.

LEAK FREE

X-Gard 1.0 uses our innovative S-5! round-point setscrews for secure attachment. These screws grip the roof seam firmly without puncturing the panel or damaging its protective finishes. This ensures the system maintains the manufacturer's weather-tightness warranty, giving you peace of mind and a leak-free roof.

FLEXIABILITY

Our S-5! clamp-mounted snow guards for metal roofs can be easily retrofitted to existing roofs or incorporated into new construction designs. They can be installed at any time of the year on almost any metal roof profile.

COMPONENTS

OF THE X-Gard™ 1.0 SYSTEM

X-GARD 1.0 BRAKET

ATBEST® X-Gard's single pipe bracket connects directly to the S-5! clamp, offering a secure mounting solution for pipes on metal roofs.

S-5! CLAMP

X-Gard adapts to any metal roof. We choose the perfect clamp for your profile and secure it with round-point setscrews, ensuring a strong and damage-free hold.

cROSSMEMBER

X-Gard utilizes strong and lightweight Aluminum Schedule 10 round pipe. Spliced at 20-foot intervals, it minimizes lateral movement while maximizing installation efficiency, saving you time and effort.

X-Clip II & III

X-Clips are mid-seam snow clips designed to prevent ice and snow from sliding beneath the roofing system. These clips are optional for narrower seam widths but are mandatory for industrial roofing projects.

finishing components

Lock collars should be installed at the ends of each run and at maximum 50-foot intervals to suppress lateral movement. Additionally, end caps should be installed at the ends of each run.
